Free Film Series: From Industrial to Organic Agriculture.

The EGG Group (Ecovillage Green Group) is offering a 3-part film series.  The films will be shown at 7:00 PM on February 16, March 16, and April 20 (all Thursday evenings) at the Imago Earth Center.

FRESH, our first film on February 16, describes many of the failings of the industrial agriculture system, and features several activist farmers in their farm, garden and market settings.  They critique industrial agriculture and describe their projects and practical visions for the future of agriculture.  FRESH, with great camera work, music and narration, runs 73 minutes.  There will be questions and discussion afterwards.
The second and third films, shown March 16 and April 20, are THE SYMPHONY OF THE SOIL, beautifully created by award winning Deborah Koons Garcia, and INHABIT:  A PERMACULTURE PERSPECTIVE.   This last film seems like a good way to finish the series.  It shows and tells the story of 20 people and their creative permaculture projects in various parts of the United States.  It will hopefully inspire some of us on Enright Ridge and beyond to grow more food in our yards and common areas and to create more sustainable neighborhoods.
