The Enright Ridge Urban Ecovillage held its annual election gathering on Sunday, Nov. 23 at the Imago Earth Center. MerryBeth McKee was elected president, Mark Carper, vice-president, Lindsay Simmons Treasurer, and Elizabeth Doshi secretary. The evening started with a fabulous potluck dinner. The ecovillage approached Casey, a graphic designer, to develop a design for a mural for the Burr Oak Building. She gave a presentation about ideas she has for it. A great group of people came together for this gathering.
There will be a New Year’s Eve Party at the Imago Earth Center starting at 8:30 p.m. Dec. 31, and going till after midnight. Bring a snack, drinks, game and/or musical instrument. Bring a friend(s). Children are welcome. If you live in the ecovillage it will be a really safe commute.
The December ecovillage tour will be on Saturday, Dec. 27 from 9 to 11 a.m. It starts at the Imago Earth Center. The tour is $10 per person, free for Ecovillage members (regular or associate) and people they specifically refer. If you or someone you know would like to get to know more about the Enright or McPherson Ecovillages, it’s a nice way to spend a morning. This one during a lot of people’s winter break. Imago is holding a Winter Solstice Celebration at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 20 at the Imago Earth Center. Come join us! If you could bring aomething to eat or drink to share it would help with the celebration of the returning of the light.
